What are Essentials?

Bambini Ltd has been registered (approval number MBIEEB-1874) as a provider of non-food essentials during the Covid-19 crisis, including the following baby and child items:

- winter clothing
- sleepwear
- rainwear
- footwear
- bedding
- skincare

The government regulates our ability to provide online services, as described below:
  • - Only take orders online or by phone.
  • - Take orders only for essential non-food goods.
  • - Take all appropriate public health measures to protect your staff and customers (e.g. physical distancing, hygiene basics, appropriate personal protective equipment).
  • - Home-deliver all essential goods in a contactless way.

In addition, as owners of Bambini, we have undertaken to keep our staff safe and at home. That means our Managing Director, Robyn, will be processing orders during the current lockdown, following the strictest health and safety measures, and only shipping items that meet the regulated description of non-food essentials. Our shipping agents Posthaste will apply every required safety measure to keep you and your family safe when delivering these essential items to your home. Time to ship may understandably be a little longer than in normal times - around 5 to 10 working days.

Please take precautions yourselves, as you will have been doing with other deliveries. Wash and dry your hands after handling and removing the packaging. We are reliably informed that the Covid-19 virus would not survive more than three days on plastic packaging - indeed, there is evidence that the virus doesn’t hang around on cardboard or paper for longer than 24 hours and is hardly viable after 8 hours - paper is our preferred packaging. While any items inside should be safe for handling, due to careful handling and time in transit, again thorough handwashing is the best line to take. We suggest washing clothing on a short cycle at 30 degrees, using a mild wool detergent before use, and sanitising items that can’t be washed, or leaving them out of reach for a day or two.
